01/05/10 - Couscous
Frankie is working on being vegetarian and I’m along for the ride, eating and enjoying whatever she puts in front of me.

01/03/10 - 1600 Pennsylvania Ave
I can’t remember a day so cold, but the pain was worth it for a synchronized leaping photograph in front of the White House.

01/02/10 - Lame Tour of a Beautiful Building
A Capitol tour is only worth it if the House and Senate are open, otherwise its not worth your trouble.

01/01/10 - In The Shadow of Greatness
Ah Washington, DC. I didn’t realize how much I really dug this city until I got home, but damn, I could really move there and be totally satisfied. Free museums, a working transit system, and history up the wazoo, what more could I ask for?
I’ve been grappling with my decision to either continue taking pictures everyday, or just let it ride quietly off into the sunset. At this point I feel somewhat addicted to the whole ordeal, so its going to continue out of habit for the time being. I’m not in the right mind set to make the decision I need to make and I know if I stop now I’ll eventually regret it.
Oh, and if you didn’t notice I’m using tumblr again. Thats my compromise. Project 365 2010 will live exclusively on tumblr until I get my own site online. I know this in effect means only about three people will see it, but I feel better about that. I feel compelled to share it, but at the same time I want to keep it close to the vest.
But it wouldn’t be worth it if I didn’t switch it up a bit. This year is about photography. Its about finding the right picture that satisfies my need to make art and capture a moment. It’ll still be about people, because hell thats what makes the year what it is, but I’ll also stress the artistic merits of a particular piece. I’m going to stop worrying about taking 20,000 pictures and instead worry about taking one picture that just works. So, without further ado, I give you Project 365 2010.

Rudy’s.
Started the afternoon at the dentist and finished with at Rudy’s in Teele Square. A day of lows and highs clearly.

Gutting the Past.
After a few months on life support I finally pulled the plug on my Powerbook, harvesting the hard drive for salvage. In other news I started moving my stuff out of 1035. A sad day.

Old Time Memories.
Mom and Dad’s anniversary at Three Ponds. Their motorhome was on the fritz, so they were stuck in New Hampshire for an extra night. We all went to visit for dinner. Between ring toss and burgers we wandered around the campground, reliving the past. We also rolled down hills for a while. What a day.
